Let's Get It Right !!!

This is actually an incorrect use of the word "Sringasana"    ...to my knowledge, the correct spelling is Singasana, as in "lion-seat". It's in Gaura-aroti by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur and I checked with the family - Mukherjees from Calcutta - and they said that singasana is correct in their Bengali language. It has become an Iskcon-ism, but it is wrong. Just thought I'd put that out there.

(4) päda-sevanam. According to one’s taste and strength, hearing, chanting and remembrance may be followed by päda-sevanam. One obtains the perfection of remembering when one constantly thinks of the lotus feet of the Lord. Being intensely attached to thinking of the Lord’s lotus feet is called päda-sevanam. When one is particularly adherent to the process of päda-sevanam, this process gradually includes other processes, such as seeing the form of the Lord, touching the form of the Lord, circumambulating the form or temple of the Lord, visiting such places as Jagannätha Puré, Dvärakä and Mathurä to see the Lord’s form, and bathing in the Ganges or Yamunä. Bathing in the Ganges and serving a pure Vaiñëava are also known as tadéya-upäsanam. This is also päda-sevanam. The word tadéya means “in relationship with the Lord.” Service to the Vaiñëava, Tulasé, Ganges and Yamunä are included in päda-sevanam. Tadéya means “in relation to Him.” The devotees are intimately related to the Lord because they are under the shelter of His internal energy. Thus they always accompany Him and serve Him as His carrier Garuòa, His couch Ananta Çeña, His cows, His gopas and gopés, and so on. (A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Some say he is Varaha, as he was worshipped in that form for 15 years or so in that form, while others say He is Hayagriva.
Both agree that He is God ...........lol
